jumped from the 13th to the 2nd most visited sports site in the world
CHALLENGE
BleacherReport.com, a sports .com located in San Francisco, CA, came to Prolific leadership with a hefty challenge: move the small brand from the 13th most visited sports website in the country to the top 5. To do so, Bleacher Report needed to bypass media giants such as Yahoo Sports, Sports Illustrated, and CBS Sports along the way.
SOLUTION
Bleacher Report sought to strategically enhance their advertising packaging approach, sales process, and sales materials. Prolific developed strategies for acquiring new advertising partners and revamped sales and marketing materials for Bleacher Report to use while pitching prospects.
RESULTS
- In less than a year, BleacherReport.com catapulted to become the 2nd most visited sports website in the world—second only to ESPN.com.
- Bleacher Report’s Team Stream mobile app became the most highly reviewed and downloaded sports app on the market.
- Bleacher Report had many interested suitors and was ultimately acquired by Turner Sports for over $200 million.
“Bleacher Report’s success in online publishing was directly attributable to Prolific’s hard work, dedication, and vision. People tend to over-use the word “partner” these days, but I can’t even imagine trying to ramp up a national media effort without them.”
